Tottenham v West Ham Betting PreviewPublished November 17, 2016
Spurs are desperate to end their poor run of form this weekend against West Ham. Mauricio Pochettino is getting frustrated with his players after a winless streak in between international breaks. They remain unbeaten in the Premier League but haven’t won a match in any competition since ending Pep Guardiola’s unbeaten start as Manchester City boss at the start of October. That’s a worrying run of seven games with four successive draws in the Premier League. Part of that problem was scoring goals so a fully-fit Harry Kane should solve that problem. He scored twice in a 4-1 win over West Ham at White Hart Lane last season.
In terms of injury concerns going into the game, Erik Lamela and Toby Alderweireld were both absent from Spurs training on Thursday. Encouragingly, Dele Alli, who picked up a knee injury against Arsenal, was training with a bandaged leg.
However, he’s not expected to be fit for the match.
James Collins, Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho may feature on Saturday. Winston Reid could also feature despite suffering a hamstring injury during the recent defeat to Everton. The Hammers have been a shadow of the side that qualified for Europe last season. Hovering above the relegation zone now, expect nothing but Spurs to finally end their win drought.
Spurs predicted XI: Lloris, Dier, Wimmer, Vertonghen, Walker, Wanyama, Dembele, Rose, Eriksen, Son, Kane
West Ham predicted XI: Mandanda, Kouyate, Collins, Ogbonna, Antonio, Noble, Obiang, Cresswell, Lanzini, Ayew, Payet
