Totenham v Chelsea Palace Betting Predictions | Premier League BettingPublished December 29, 2016
It has sometime, right? Chelsea’s winning streak is so long that they’re going around the Premier League for a second time, facing teams they’ve already scalped on this run.
They face Tottenham at White Hart Lane a few weeks after Mauricio Pochettino’s side came close to stopping the Blues. Christian Eriksen gave them the lead at Stamford Bridge but goals from Pedro and Victor Moses saw Chelsea run out 2-1 winners. At the time of writing, they’ve won 12 games in a row and look incredible. The whole league will be rooting for Spurs to stop the runaway leaders. Chelsea are six points clear at the top of the table.
Having come so close last time, Tottenham will be confident that they can halt their bitter rivals on their own patch. They still have revenge to dole out after last season’s vicious Battle of the Bridge, the match that maliciously put the final nail in their title challenge coffin.
Chelsea didn’t need Diego Costa or N’Golo Kante for their win over Bournemouth but will have both players back for this epic tie. Spurs should have Toby Alderweireld back and will need the Belgian to marshall their defence against a free-scoring set of attackers. Costa is the division’s top scorer and, in Hazard, Willian and Pedro, has brilliant support to link up with.
A win for Spurs would bring them right back into the title race. A draw would ensure that they’re not eliminated from it. We think Spurs will finally put an end to this insane winning streak.
Spurs predicted XI: Lloris, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Rose, Walker, Dembélé, Wanyama, Eriksen, Alli, Winks, Kane
Chelsea predicted XI: Courtois, Cahill, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Alonso, Willian, Moses, Matić, Hazard, Kante, Costa
