Liverpool v Manchester United Betting PredictionPublished October 13, 2016
The match of this week’s round of Premier League fixtures takes place on Monday night. In what’s sure to be a full-blooded encounter, Liverpool host Manchester United. Jose Mourinho hasn’t had the smoothest start to life at Old Trafford but his Red Devils are only three points behind Jurgen Klopp’s high-flyers. The priority will be to make sure that the gap doesn’t get any bigger.
There’s no doubt that Mourinho would take a point now if it was offered to him. Liverpool look mean. They’ve scored nine goals in the two games they’ve played at Anfield since its renovation. They’ve been picking up results on the road, too, and are outsiders for the title.
Mourinho has a terrible record against Klopp teams. In five games, he’s only managed to win once, that was in the second leg of a Champions League semi-final that Dortmund won on aggregate anyway. Klopp even beat Mourinho’s Chelsea in the first few weeks of his current stint. If the Special One can learn from these defeats then United might be able to nullify the home side.
