Chelsea v Leicester City Betting PredictionPublished October 13, 2016
Just a few short weeks after a League Cup cracker, Chelsea and Leicester meet again in the Premier League. The Blues emerged as victors in that six-goal thriller, coming back from two nil down to win in extra-time. It was a game that saw Claudio Ranieri, with European commitments in mind, rest key players. The Foxes have another Champions League match on Tuesday.

Obviously, the reigning champions can’t fob off duties in the league like they can in England’s secondary cup competition, and they need to string some results together. Nobody expected them to repeat last season’s miraculous feat but eight points from their opening seven games is extremely poor. Can they add to that tally at Stamford Bridge? Chelsea’s recent defensive vulnerability has seen Antonio Conte experiment with his line-up. Transition presents opportunity.
He played three at the back in a solid 2-0 win over Hull before the international break, the same system that worked wonders with Juventus and, to a lesser degree, Italy. We think that the likes of Vardy and Slimani will provide a sterner test than the Tigers. It could be another slobberknocker.
