Crystal Palace v Liverpool Free Betting TipPublished October 27, 2016
The latest test in Liverpool’s title quest sees Jurgen Klopp visiting the new home of scorned striker Christian Benteke. The Belgian was offloaded by the Reds to Crystal Palace in the summer and is settling in nicely in the Premier League betting season. He’s certainly not missing Anfield. Benteke had similar complaints to Mario Balotelli about Liverpool, saying that he never felt wanted at the club.
It’s unfortunate that Jurgen Klopp didn’t like some of the players that he inherited. These things are inevitable. Players are signed under the idea that they’ll be playing a certain style of football under a certain manager. Even taking that into account, the cases of Balotelli and Benteke are bizarre. Rodgers didn’t set his side up to play direct football either. Strange recruitment.
Palace have a good record against the Reds in recent years. They famously came back from three goals down to draw with Rodgers’ team in the season they threw away the title.
Right now, they’re not on the best run, having not won any of their last three games. While Liverpool have overcome all comers at this stage of the season, we can see Palace posing them problems with Benteke taking a starring role in proceedings. There aren’t any new injury updates for either team. Divock Origi might be fit enough to be selected for the squad.
Crystal Palace predicted XI: Mandanda, Ward, Tomkins, Delaney, Kelly, McArthur, Ledley, Townsend, Cabaye, Zaha, Benteke
Liverpool XI: Karius, Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Milner, Lallana, Henderson, Can, Mane, Firmino, Coutinho
