Chelsea v Tottenham Spurs Betting Predictions | Premier League BettingPublished November 24, 2016
The most salivating match of the weekend is undoubtedly Chelsea versus Tottenham. In a repeat of last season’s Battle of the Bridge, Spurs will be out for revenge after the Blues put the final nail in the coffin of their Premier League title hopes. Their title challenge was falling apart before they let a two-goal lead, and their discipline, slip in a brutal brawl of eye gouges.
Mauricio Pochettino will want his boys to get one over on Chelsea through rather more gentlemanly means this time around but he has his work cut out. They travel to the home of the current league leaders and are in real danger of losing their unbeaten record on Saturday.
It doesn’t help that they’re coming off the back of a demoralising defeat to Monaco in midweek that confirmed their Champions League exit. Spurs deserved to go out of the competition and might carry that hangover into this game against a team who have won their last six games.
Pochettino will be worried about how poor Spurs were defensively in France. If it wasn’t for the exploits of Hugo Lloris, the 2-1 defeat could have been heavier. Indeed, as soon as Spurs drew level, Monaco equalised – immediately from kick-off. The problem in front of goal has subsided with the return of Harry Kane, scorer of three goals in his last two games.
However, Spurs will struggle to break down Antonio Conte’s team of troops. They haven’t conceded in six games and we back them to make it seven here.
