Bournemouth v Chelsea Betting Predictions | Back a Draw at 10/3 with Bet365Published April 6, 2017
Chelsea’s victory over Manchester City felt like the countdown to the Premier League title on Wednesday, despite that shock defeat to Crystal Palace at the weekend. The Blues need only tick off the games from now until the end of the season. Don’t miss on Premier League bets for this huge event.
They should get the three points at Bournemouth, but there is definite value in suggesting they may have to be patient in order to secure them.
The Cherries have recovered from a disastrous spell, both with conceding goals and losing games, but recent victories over Swansea and West Ham, as well as credible draws at Manchester United and Liverpool, have steadied the ship under Eddie Howe.

Antonio Conte’s side would be better served playing on the counter attack, given the pace they have in wide areas and the system they use which ensures they do not leave themselves exposed on the break but still have a number of men forward. Bournemouth’s defence has lacked protection at times this season, so exploiting that by playing Cesc Fabregas high up the pitch could lead to victory.
Jack Wilshere and Harry Arter will be the main men for N’Golo Kante to mark, but with his fitness levels and positional sense, it would be a risk worth taking for Conte to drop Nemanja Matic to accommodate Fabregas.
It would be more of an issue if Howe altered his tactics and used Benik Afobe asa target man. Afobe usually runs in behind, but if he holds the ball up it could allow the likes of Josh King, Wilshere and Arter to put Chelsea on the back foot.
This game will be full of intensity and it will take time for Chelsea to assert their dominance, but the capabilities of the likes of Eden Hazard and Diego Costa, who has only scored three Premier League goals in 2017, should take them a step closer to glory on the South Coast.
