VIDEO: Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn't appreciate the referee touching himPublished November 3, 2016
Zlatan Ibrahimovic doesn’t take guff from anybody – not even the referee. The Manchester United striker showed how much he doesn’t like to be touched in their 2-1 defeat to Fenerbahce in Turkey. It was one of many flashpoints in the Europa League clash.
The Swedish forward followed a frustrating game against Burnley with a seething display of aggressive outbursts in Turkey. At his most frustrated, Ibrahimovic grabbed Fenerbahce defender Simon Kjaer by the neck before putting his hands on referee Milorad Mažić when he tried to stop him.
Irritated by poor service and a Fenerbahce defence that were giving as good as they got, the Swede rarely got a sniff and his passing was terrible. Ibrahimovic started the game on the bench before coming on as a first-half substitute for the injured Paul Pogba. He’s only scored once in his last ten matches.
Now his week could go from bad to worse if video officials decide that his actions warrant retrospective action. Watch him deal with the ref in the vine below.
