VIDEO: Swansea boss Bob Bradley admits he wants to sign former Man United strikerPublished November 3, 2016
Swansea City boss Bob Bradley has admitted that a former Manchester United striker is on his radar. The American coach spoke to the media about his January transfer plans and they could see Dimitar Berbatov make a return to the Premier League.
Berbatov is currently a free agent after his contract with Greek side PAOK expired in June. This week, he issued a come-and-get-me plea to Premier League clubs, saying: “When you’ve played in the Premier League you don’t want to play anywhere else.”
With his 36th birthday just two months away, Berbatov’s veteran status might put clubs off signing him. However, his best qualities were never physical attributes. His technique is second to none and the experience that he can bring to the locker room makes him a worthy addition.
His record for Premier League teams is quite enviable. At Spurs, he scored 46 goals in 102 games. Then, after a big-money move to Man United, he scored 56 goals in 149 games. His last Premier League club was Fulham, where he scored 20 goals in 54 games.
