VIDEO: Paulo Dybala hits sweetest volley to help Juventus to Italian Cup winPublished January 12, 2017
Paulo Dybala hit an incredibly sweet volley for Juventus in their 3-2 win over Atalanta in the Italian Cup on Wednesday night. The Argentine forward scored one and created another on a night when he was filling in for Gonzalo Higuain in the central striker role. He usually plays off his compatriot but on this occasion, Dybala was front and centre and all the more effective because of it.
The match will be remembered for Dybala’s wonderful strike, a terrifically clean volley that flew into the back of the net. That opened the scoring early on. Juventus would double their lead when Dybala played a through ball for Mario Mandzukic. Three goals were exchanged after the star was substituted to a standing ovation.
With performances like this, it’s no wonder that Dybala is linked with moves to the likes of Barcelona. He might consider his options over the next few months following the arrival of Higuain. The presence of his strike partner has stopped Dybala from being as prolific as he was last season. In his first campaign for Juventus, he scored 23 goals in all competitions. This time around he only has six but there’s plenty of time to improve that record. Watch his squeaky clean strike in the video below.
