Tottenham star makes astounding claim about Mauricio Pochettino
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has made a bold statement by suggesting his future lies with boss Mauricio Pochettino, per Sky.
The Spurs stopper is now in his fifth year at White Hart Lane despite being constantly linked with moves away from the club. He has always maintained his commitment and has seemingly gone one step further during an interview while on international duty with France.
Hugo Lloris tells Le Figaro: 'My future is linked to Pochettino's. He'll become the best manager in the world. For me he already is' #THFC— Matt Spiro (@mattspiro) March 22, 2017
The 30-year-old told Le Figaro that he sees himself playing for current boss Pochettino in his future, but refused to say where that would be, with Paris Saint-Germain apparently keen on both men’s services.
“My destiny is linked to Mauricio, it’s a certainty,” he said.
“He matters a lot to me. Our relationship goes beyond football, it’s a match, and one day he will be the best manager in the world. For me he is already. His presence and our relationship are the most important elements for me.
“Tottenham is not a club that always wins, but we are trying to create something. It’s not easy to fight against European monsters but it is a motivation.”
Spurs are currently ten points behind Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title, with ten games remaining.
