Tottenham make £20m move for Bundesliga sensation, talks heldPublished August 25, 2016
Whilst one half of North London is having a transfer window to forget, the other half is quietly going about their business in an efficient manner.
Tottenham have so far signed the likes of Victor Wanyama and Vincent Janssen, with both players having an immediate impact, as Spurs have gone unbeaten in their first two Premier League games.
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed his desire to add some more players to his ranks, before the end of the summer transfer window, and it looks like one particular transfer is gathering pace.
According to Sky Sports, the North London club are interested in Bayer Leverkusen’s attacking midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu.
The Turkish international has scored 21 goals in his two seasons at the BayArena, following a move from Hamburg in 2014, and has a reputation for the spectacular given his ability at set-pieces.
It’s believed that a fee in the region of £20m could be enough to secure the midfielder’s signature, and that Spurs are holding talks with the player’s representatives over a possible move to White Hart Lane.
