The 21-year-old Frenchman’s future at United is unclear despite joining from Monaco in a £36million just 18 months ago as he struggles to establish himself under new boss Jose Mourinho.
Martial did score in the Red Devils’ 2-0 victory over Watford at Old Trafford on Saturday, but it was his first Premier League start in over a month.
When he arrived, he did so with a huge reputation as the most expensive teenager in history. Initially, the pressure did not seem to phase him as he performed excellently, helping his team to FA Cup glory.
But the arrival of Mourinho, and subsequently Zlatan Ibrahimovic, have seen Martial struggle for both form and regular minutes on the pitch.
The Mirror also reports United’s interest in Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann is stepping up, alerting Spurs to the possibility of signing Martial.
With Vincent Janssen struggling to offer good competition to Harry Kane this season, Mauricio Pochettino may give serious thought to a move for the United striker.
