Tottenham Hotspur lose out to PSG in battle for Argentine sensation
Tottenham Hotspur had been favourites to sign promising centre-back Juan Foyth, but PSG recently swooped in and agreed on a free with Estudiantes.
The deal had reportedly stalled due to both parties being unable to agree on personal terms, but according to L’Equipe, Foyth’s entourage have now reached an agreement with PSG.
The transfer is expected to move quickly with Foyth added to the ranks at PSG.
It remains to be seen whether snubbing interest from Spurs is the right decision, but the Premier League club won’t be happy since they’ve yet to make a single transfer this season.
That alone does not suggest they’re a club with much ambition. Key players such as Eric Dier and Dele Alli are believed to be angry by this.
