Tottenham and Chelsea to battle for Premier League star
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are set to go head-to-head in the race to sign Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, per the Daily Mirror.
Both London clubs are keen to improve their midfield options in the summer, and by the time a deal could be done, 23-year-old Barkley will have just a year left on his contract at Goodison Park.
His current boss, Ronald Koeman, has also admitted recently that the player must either sign a new deal or be sold at the end of the season. The Dutchman and Barkley have not always seen eye to eye this season.

The Mirror also claims Spurs will reignite their interest in Crystal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha. Mauricio Pochettino was keen to bring him to White Hart Lane last summer, but the Eagles blocked the move, and will apparently demand upwards of £30million now.
Both teams are likely to reach the Champions League again next season, with both flying high in the Premier League. The Blues, though, are currently ten points clear of their city rivals and on the verge of clinching a second title in three years.
Everton are also facing up to the possibility of losing star striker Romelu Lukaku, who has announced his intention not to sign a new deal at the club.
