It looks like Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is planning a major overhaul of his side, starting in January, as the Blues attempt to get their Premier League campaign back on track.

Despite starting the season in steady fashion, the West London side now find themselves without a win in four Premier League games, and following Chelsea’s humiliating 3-0 defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, it’s believed that Antonio Conte has seen enough and is ready to plan a major shake up, especially in defence.

It’s believed that the Italian boss has had enough of both Gary Cahill, and John Terry, whilst the deadline day signing of former Blues defender David Luiz seems to have backfired, with the Brazilian defender currently looking like a worse defender then the one who left Stamford Bridge a couple of years ago.

A story coming out of the British press now suggests Conte, is planning a revolution at the back, and will seek to inject some youth into his side in January.

According to The Sun, Burnley centre-back Michael Keane, and Spurs defender Ben Davies are top of Chelsea’s priority list and will make attempts to sign both defenders when the January transfer window opens in January.

The report goes on to claim, that the Blues have already submitted a bid in the region of £20m for the Spurs defender, which Spurs are considering, whilst Burnley would demand a similar figure if they are to part way with one of their most coveted assets.

Fans at Stamford Bridge will hope that their current beleaguered defence will be able to improve between now and January, otherwise the Blues face another season of disappointment in their quest to get back near the top end of the Premier League table.

It looks set to an interesting start to 2017 for fans in West London
