Premier League trio in tug-of-war for Ligue 1 defender
The father of Monaco fullback Fabinho claims Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been in contact regarding a summer move, per Metro.
The 23-year-old has been in excellent form this season, helping the Principality club to the top of Ligue 1 as they battle mega-rich Paris Saint-Germain for the title.
Since making his debut in 2015, Fabinho has scored 11 goals in 50 games for Monaco, but is expected to leave the club in the next transfer window.
According to his father, the Brazil international is a wanted man, but he could favour a move to join up with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Joao told J+1: “We have been in talks with Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal and approached by Barcelona.
“We like Manchester United and [Jose] Mourinho’s work, but we have a soft spot for Manchester City.”
