Premier League superstar given green light to leave
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has told David de Gea he can leave the club this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
De Gea, 26, is once again at the centre of speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid, two years after a move to the Santiago Bernabeu fell through because of an issue with the paperwork.
United would have seen Keylor Navas join as part of the deal then, and it has been suggested Mourinho is already eyeing up possible replacements.
Following his failed move to Real, De Gea penned a new contract under former boss Louis van Gaal, but with Champions League football not yet guaranteed, the Spaniard may look to force the issue again.

It is believed the La Liga leaders are looking to improve on Costa Rican stopper Navas in the summer, with De Gea a prime target.
But the club are also said to be monitoring Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois, who spent three years on loan at Atletico Madrid, and Milan’s teenage sensation Gianluigi Donnarumma, the article claims.
