Premier League rivals go head to head for Bayern Munich star
Manchester United and Manchester City are set to do battle for Bayern Munich youngster Joshua Kimmich this summer, per Sky.
The 22-year-old, who broke into the Bayern team under current boss Pep Guardiola during his stint at the Allianz Arena, has been unsettled this term due to the number of games he has played.
German sports media outlet Kicker claim it will be an interesting race to sign the versatile midfielder, with City and United rivalling two unnamed Spanish clubs for his signature.
Bayern will be loathed to lose one of their most talented youngsters, with Kimmich tipped as the long-term heir to the retiring Philipp Lahm.
But he is itching to play more football and Guardiola is keen on a reunion. Both he and United boss Jose Mourinho are in the process of overhauling their respective clubs and will spend heavily again this summer.

Kimmich fits the bill for the kind of player both managers want to sign, but they will face a battle to clinch a deal.
