Premier League forward set for £20m move to China
Odion Ighalo is set to complete a move to the Chinese Super League after Watford accepted an absurd bid.
The Hornets accepted a £20m bid from Changchun Yatai following the strikers poor start to the season.
Ighalo was in impressive form last season and interest from China came in the summer, though the club did not want to lose their star player and rejected an even more astonishing £38m bid.
Odion Ighalo to China for £20m is not a bad deal though. If only Watford had known better to have accepted the £38m bid last year.— Wale Adetona (@iSlimfit) January 30, 2017
Now, after his poor goalscoring record this season, Sky Sources are reporting that a bid has been accepted.
Ighalo will be the third major player to join a Chinese Super League side during this window, with former Chelsea player Oscar and former Manchester United and City forward Carlos Tevez both making the move to Asia.
Ighalo may also not be the last player to leave Watford before tomorrow, with Jerome Sinclair attracting attention.
