Premier League boss on Barcelona list to replace Luis Enrique
Everton boss Ronald Koeman is on Barcelona’s list of possible replacements for Luis Enrique this summer, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Blaugrana may well be on the hunt for a new coach after their 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday piled the pressure on Enrique, who was already reportedly contemplating his future at Camp Nou.
His contract runs out at the end of the season and, having won two LaLiga titles and the Champions League in his two and a half year spell, failure to lift any trophy this term could see him depart.
With Real ahead in the league, that looks likely and former Barcelona defender Koeman is in the running alongside Sevilla’s Jorge Sampaoli and Ernesto Valverde of Athletic Bilbao, according the report.
The Dutchman only arrived at Everton in the summer, replacing Roberto Martinez, and the Toffees will likely do whatever it takes to keep him at Goodison Park beyond the end of the season.
