According to The Times, Juventus have ‘informally’ placed the 23-year-old on the transfer list in an attempt to attract offers from other leading clubs in Europe, and newly appointed Reds boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering a move for the Frenchman.

Paul Pogba left Old Trafford in 2012 after a public falling out with Sir Alex Ferguson, and has since gone on to win four consecutive Serie A title with Juventus along with two Coppa Italia successes, and also reached the Champions League final in 2014/15.

But Despite a hugely successful four years in Turin, it is now believed that Juve are ready to cash in on one of their most coveted assets.

While Juventus’ willingness to sell Paul Pogba is likely to put Europe’s leading clubs on high alert, it is understood that the Serie A giants will only accept an astronomical fee for the Frenchman, which could eclipse the £86million Real paid Tottenham Hotspur for Gareth Bale in 2013.

There is no doubting that United have the financial power to bring Pogba back to Old Trafford, but Jose Mourinho’s side will most likely face competition for the 23-year-old’s signature from the likes of Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, and Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester City.

Whilst there is still a long way to go in this particular transfer story, United fans have taken to social media to express their views on this rumour.

It seems that many are in favour of Paul Pogba returning to Old Trafford this summer.
