Where was Paul Pogba? Manchester United fans blast £89m world-record signing after derby day loss [Tweets]Published September 11, 2016
There were several players who didn’t have their best game during the Manchester derby .
Man City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo had a debut to forget whilst Man United defender Daley Blind wasn’t much better… but unfortunately for Paul Pogba, neither of them cost £90m.
When you’re the world’s most expensive player of all time, expectations are extremely high, and failure to live up to that hype, will certainly be scuritnised at every opportunity.
The Frenchman was pretty ineffective during the 2-1 defeat at Old Trafford, and in a game at such magnitude, United can’t afford for their most expensive player to go missing.
In the aftermath of United’s 2-1 loss to City, fans of the red half of Manchester took to Twitter to discuss Pogba’s performance.
There were conflicting opinions with some fans blaming Jose Mourinho for playing him out of position while others blame Pogba for not trying hard enough and then there are those who simply do not believe he was worth £100 million.
Take a look at some of the Tweets below.
Divide the price tag of every one of this summer’s signings by seven to get their true value. Or eleven, if you’re doing Pogba.— Andy Dawson (@profanityswan) September 10, 2016
Great to see Paul Pogba do an impression of the invisible man. Mesut Ozil would be proud.

Juve getting that money for Pogba makes me proud to be Italian.#daylightrobbery— Victoria (@victoriamscott) September 10, 2016
Pogba suffers from positional dysphoria. He has the body of a B2B CM with the mind of an attacking midfielder. Identity crisis.— RG? (@registability) September 10, 2016
