One In, One Out: Real Madrid to SMASH transfer record in £160m deal as Bernabeu star edges closer to shock Manchester United switch
Real Madrid are close to securing Kylian Mbappe for a world record transfer fee of £160m which may force the club to send Gareth Bale packing.
Part of the Mbappe money has already been received this summer, as Los Blancos sold Alvaro Morata to Chelsea and Danilo to Manchester City for a combined £85m. Real Madrid President Florentino Perez could allow another big star to leave to get more cash for the Mbabbe deal.

The ‘BBC,’ which includes Bale, Karim Benzema, and Cristiano Ronaldo, have been instrumental in winning back-to-back Champions League titles, and toppling Barcelona in La Liga. The Welshman has been struggling recently with injuries and believed to be the one who Zinedine Zidane will let go.
Bale joined Real Madrid in 2013, for a record transfer at the time of £85.2m from Tottenham. He scored 67 goals in 150 appearances, and has been a top target for Manchester United.
Mourinho sealed his third summer signing yesterday, adding defensive midfielder Nemanja Matic from Chelsea for £40m. The United boss still wants another winger, and very interested in bringing Bale to Old Trafford.
Real Madrid and Manchester United will see each other again on August 8th for the UEFA Super Cup Final, and could provide Mourinho another chance to lure the Welsh international.
