Man City star Kevin De Bruyne spent his Saturday afternoon causing a social media frenzy, after the midfielder’s sensational display during his side’s 4-0 victory against Bournemouth at the Etihad.

The Belgian midfielder, has always had a reputation of being a real gem in the making, but it seems as though under City boss Pep Guardiola, De Bruyne, is starting to blossom and at this moment in time it’s hard to argue against the claims that the 25-year-old is the best player in the Premier League right now.

De Bruyne, who scored in the win over against Manchester United last week, played behind main striker Iheanacho and caused Bournemouth all sorts of problems as he was involved in all his side’s goals before going off to a standing ovation.

The victory on Saturday made it fine wins out of five or Pep Guardiola’s side, and if Kevin De Bruyne can keep up his deadly form, there won’t be many sides able to last the pace with the current league leaders.

After the thrashing of Bournemouth, football fans took to Twitter to wax lyrical about Manchester City and the man of the moment Kevin De Bruyne.

Take a look at some of the Tweets below.

Guardiola said only messi is better than De Bruyne.

He should be expecting an official statement from the ronaldo fanclub

An easy one to see. Kevin De Bruyne is currently the best player in the Premier League. Needed that central starting position.
