Manchester United ready to swoop for £20m defender
Manchester United are considering a reunion with defender Michael Keane after it emerged on Thursday that he would leave Burnley at the end of the season.
Keane, 24, has been a key part in Sean Dyche’s side since his permanent move from United in 2015, and he has even gone on to make his England debut this year.
However, with that form has come speculation of interest from elsewhere, with United touted as one of many clubs interested in signing him this summer.
United are joined by Everton, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur when it comes to clubs interested in Keane’s signature.
Pep Guardiola is looking to rebuild City’s defence, and with John Stones already nailed down to be part of that, almost regrettably, Keane could potentially be seen as an adequate partner in defence.
Spurs, on the other hand, risk losing Toby Alderweireld this summer with the Belgian reportedly refusing to negotiate a new contract.
The future of Michael Keane is very much in the air right now.
