Manchester United fans could well be slightly worried at the latest quotes coming from Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who has claimed they’re not actually his ‘dream club’.

Mkhi endured a tough start under Jose Mourinho, but has come good, and most people will admit he’s one of the best players in the league when on form – if not the world.

That means United will want to keep him and nurture him for the rest of his career if possible, but there may well be another club he has his eyes on.

He was speaking to Bild, and said: “United might not have been my dream club, but they have always been among the best clubs in the world for me,

“Manchester United are a bigger club than Borussia Dortmund, everyone knows that and we should just accept that.

“It was a new challenge for me that I could not turn down.”

Of course, there aren’t too many clubs out there who are bigger than United – and some people might automatically think Mkhi is talking about Real Madrid or Barcelona – probably two of the only clubs who actually could attract a player away from Old Trafford.

However, under Mourinho, the club are slowly but surely turning things around, and are looking far, far better – something that may well convince players like Mkhi and David De Gea to spend their best years in the red of Manchester United.
