Manchester United plan world-record transfer for Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann in 2017Published September 2, 2016
Despite clinching the world-record signing of Paul Pogba this summer, it seems that Manchester United, have no intentions of slowing down, in their bid to once again become the best team in Europe.
The £89m arrival of the dynamic midfielder looks like it’s set to be a sign of things to come at Old Trafford, and not a one off.
According to reports United officials, are preparing another world-record offer, which would eclipse the Pogba deal, in a bid to prize French forward Antoine Griezmann away from Atletico Madrid.
The 25-year-old, is a long-term target for Manchester United as a replacement for stalwart and captain Wayne Rooney, claims reports.
The France and Atletico Madrid star is settled in Spain with Premier League club so far unable to snare him away, but it appears as though United are extremely confident of getting their man.
The Bleacher Report claims that Griezmann is on Jose Mourinho’s shopping list and that a move for the forward will be made in 2017, though which transfer window exactly hasn’t been specified.
It’s understood that Antoine Griezmann does indeed have his sights set on a move to Old Trafford, and has recently hit out at his Atletico Madrid teammates, for their poor start to the La Liga season.
