Manchester United plan deal for Bundesliga defender
Manchester United could be set to make a shock move for Borussia Dortmund defender Marc Bartra, per the Manchester Evening News.
Bartra, 26, has been with Dortmund for two seasons after leaving boyhood club Barcelona in 2015 in search of regular first team football.
He has impressed in Germany, prompting Jose Mourinho to consider a bid.
Mourinho is reportedly growing frustrated with the United board over the lack of progress with transfers.
Only another defender, Victor Lindelof, has joined so far this summer, despite a striker being high on the Red Devils’ priority list after Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s departure.
If Bartra were to join, it would raise further questions over the likes od Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
