Manchester United legend demanding MASSIVE £30m pay-off to LEAVE the clubPublished July 2, 2017
A Manchester United legend will demand a huge £30 million payoff if he is to leave the club during the summer transfer window.
That man is Wayne Rooney as his days at Old Trafford seem to be numbered after a season of limited appearances and less than impressive performances.
Now, it is looking likely that the player will leave the club for one of many destinations following an incredible career at Manchester United.
Last season the former Everton forward became the club’s all-time leading goalscorer, overtaking famous names such as Sir Bobby Charlton to leave him firmly in the history books at Old Trafford.
Now, it looks like he could be about to make history elsewhere.
A mega-money move to the Chinese Super League has been mooted in what could make him the best-paid footballer in the world as well as in history.
Moves to the MLS and an emotional return to boyhood club Everton have also been mooted but it seems that the players future is no clearer than it was following the end of the season.
Rumours have been rife that a move to Everton could be his preferred option but the Merseyside club are reluctant to pay the wages that the player would command upon a move.
Plus that with the players reported reluctance to leave without a massive payoff and it looks as though the Wayne Rooney saga is no closer to being solved.
One thing does remain likely, though, that Rooney’s days at Old Trafford look to be numbered.
