Manchester United handed boost in pursuit of Italian sensation
According to Torino president Urbano Cairo, Manchester United target Andrea Belotti will not be sold to an Italian club.
Belotti has been in stunning form this season and is currently the top scorer in Serie A with 25 goals.
Bayern Munich and Juventus are also interested in signing Belotti but the latter may as well drop their pursuit for the striker unless Cairo goes back on his word.
Cario also revealed that Belotti’s release clause of £84m only applies to foreign clubs.
“It’s the right value, I think,” Cairo told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“And it’s only for foreigners. In Italy there is no such clause and do you know why? Because I won’t sell Belotti [in Italy].
“Another year at Torino and another 30 goals will be good for him and for us.”
