Manchester United go all out to complete massive signing: £500k a week contract offered as Jose Mourinho looks to pull off transfer coup
Jose Mourinho is focused on signing Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale and could be ready to make a £100m bid to bring him back to the Premier League. The Sun reported a £500,000-a-week contract could lure the Welsh international to Old Trafford.
Manchester United fell victim to Real Madrid again after Tuesday’s 2-1 UEFA Super Cup defeat. Following the match, Mourinho dismissed any potential move, however, despite his comments, there are still talks of a deal to get done this summer.
Florentino Perez reportedly told the United boss that Bale could be available with the right offer. The 27-year-old winger moved from Tottenham to Madrid in 2013, with a world-record fee of £85.3m at the time. The Red Devils will need to splash even more cash to bring him to Manchester, as Mourinho is currently pleading with Ed Woodward to fund one more massive signing.

Real Madrid have been in the hunt for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe for around £160m which could help Manchester United land their man.
United have already brought in two big players this summer, Romelu Lukaku for £75m and Nemanja Matic for £75m. Bale would complete the summer demands and could make the club Premier League title favourites. Get the latest Premier League betting odds right here!
