Manchester United boss Mourinho offers transfer update after Chelsea win

Jose Mourinho is having a pretty good Easter.

He managed to see his side beat Chelsea to blow the title race wide open – and show everyone that he’s still capable of tactical masterclasses.

The Red Devils are also firmly in the hunt for the top four, and are looking to go through in the Europa League to boot, but Mourinho is already thinking about his summer transfer plans as well, aiming to bring in some top talent to the club.

Jose said: “We need more quality but in terms of character and the human side I have one of the best groups ever.”

Most people have assumed this may well mean Antoine Griezmann, but it’s clear United and Mourinho want to spend big money this summer.

They may have beaten Chelsea, but the players they had to use in certain positions certainly are not the players Mourinho wants to be taking into a title fight or the Champions League, and with him claiming that the quality needs to be greater, most fans will also expect some exits as well.

Ashley Young looks to be on his way out of the club, and Wayne Rooney may well return to boyhood club Everton, as with all the new arrivals, departures also have to take place.
