Manchester City vs Real Madrid combined XI ahead of tonight's Champions League clash

Manchester City and Real Madrid are set to face off in their Champions League semi-final first leg encounter on Tuesday night, with both sides aiming to book their place in Milan for the final on May 28.

Whilst the Spanish giants are considered to be the favourites with the bookies, the Blues certainly have a team capable of beating Madrid over two legs.

Both sides have had their wobbles, both domestically and in Europe this season, but whilst City progressed to this stage of the competition with an impressive victory of French champions Paris-Saint Germain, Real Madrid showed a degree of vulnerability against German side Wolfsburg during their quarter-final encounter.

In the build up to this unpredictable match, we have decided to name our Man City – Real Madrid combined XI.

Four Manchester City players make it into our starting lineup, but controversially there is no room for City talisman David Silva, who loses out to Gareth Bale, whilst Madrid striker Karim Benzema also misses out, as Sergio Aguero is preferred alongside Cristiano Ronaldo.

Check out the combined XI below.
