Manchester City star's future still unclear after manager comments
There is fresh doubt over Joe Hart’s Manchester City future after Pep Guardiola admitted he was unchanged on his opinion of the England goalkeeper, per Sky.
Hart is currently out on loan at Italian side Torino after Guardiola made it clear he was not in his immediate plans. Barcelona stopper Claudio Bravo was signed, with his ability to play out from the back a key attribute.
But with Bravo struggling for consistent performances this season, and Willy Caballero taking his place in recent games, calls for Hart to be given another chance have come from fans and media alike.
But Guardiola insists he’s happy with both Caballero and Bravo, hinting that Hart may have to find a new club once again in the summer.
“We are going to talk about it at the end of the season,” he said.
“I trust a lot in both [Caballero and Bravo] and we’ll decide.
“Not just the goalkeepers, the midfielders, wingers, strikers, full-backs – we are going to decide at the end of the season.
“They have to try to keep going, to convince me every day. There are five, six players out of contract but they know the situation.
“Of course there is a risk, maybe they can sign a contract for another club and we have to accept that.
“But we are going to decide in the last months of the season.”
Guardiola has himself struggled to adapt to the Premier League himself, lagging behind Chelsea in the title race, but he has reportedly been given assurances of his future after a meeting with the owner in Abu Dhabi.
