Manchester City set to complete £41.5m Leroy Sane signing ahead of moves to sign John Stones and Gabriel JesusPublished August 2, 2016
Manchester City are set to complete the signing of Schalke wonderkid Leroy Sane for a fee of £41.5m according to the Daily Mirror.
The 20-year-old winger has impressed for club and country and is considered one of the hottest prospects in European football and the first of a series of upcoming moves made by Pep Guardiola.
This source believes that Guardiola will follow up the Sane capture with moves to bring in Everton defender John Stones and teenage forward Gabriel Jesus.
The move to bring in Sane may lead to last summer’s big-name addition, Raheem Sterling, struggling to retain a foothold in the Man City starting XI with the former Liverpool man having something of an up and down time of it last term.
Moves to bring in Stones could prove key as Guardiola will certainly want to solidify a back-line that struggled in a big way in 2015/16. The England international won’t come cheap though with Everton said to want as much as £50m for the 23-year-old.
Jesus would offer Guardiola yet more strength in depth up front with the likes of Sergio Aguero, Nolito, Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfried Bony to call upon.
