The United boss is considering a move for Lemar, who is priced around £60m and could swoop in to get a deal done ahead of Arsenal. The Frenchman scored 14 goals and had 17 assists in his 55 appearances last season with Monaco. His versatility and strength would give Mourinho more options in the attack.

The Red Devils are targeting Perisic who proved again his ability with a goal and an assist for Inter Milan in their season opener victory over Fiorentina. While the Italian club believe they can hold onto their star playmaker, Mourinho is confident they can secure a deal worth £55m. This could also include a potential swap with Anthony Martial, who said he would be happy to move to Inter Milan.

Sergi Roberto is also on Mourinho’s summer wish list and could make a £42m move for the 25-year-old midfielder. Roberto insists he is ‘happy’ at Barcelona, however, the recent Paulinho signing was a blow to his confidence within the club, according to Sport. The Catalan expressed his interest in playing for a Premier League club and could decide about his future within the week.

Manchester United are also battling other English clubs including Arsenal and Liverpool for Julian Draxler. The 23-year-old has been put up for sale by Paris Saint Germain and Mourinho is hoping to swoop in ahead of his rivals. Draxler joined PSG in January for £40million, but the French giants are willing to let him go for around £32m.
