Liverpool target summer swoop for unsettled Bundesliga star
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp will once again attempt to lure Mario Götze to Anfield this summer, with the Germany midfielder struggling to establish himself back at Borussia Dortmund.
According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool have identified the 24-year-old as a good option, having shown interest in signing him from Bayern Munich last year, before rejoined Dortmund.
Klopp worked with Gotze in his first spell at the Signal Iduna Park and actually sold him to Bayern in 2013, but despite scoring the winner in the World Cup final a year later, Götze’s career has struggled to get off the ground since.
There are question marks over whether The Reds need another player in that position, with Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane all operating in a similar area to him.

After struggling at Bayern, many expected Götze to recapture his best form at Dortmund, but he has struggled, which has seen speculation over a cut-price £20million deal increase.
