Liverpool Target Leicester City star as replacement for unwanted wide-manPublished August 28, 2016
Liverpool have set their sights on Leicester City left-back Christian Fuchs as a potential replacement for error prone Spaniard Alberto Moreno according to the Metro.
The 30-year-old Austrian impressed last season and is said to be stalling on signing a new deal with the Foxes, which has led to interest from Jurgen Klopp.
Moreno put in a shocking display during Liverpool’s opening weekend win away Arsenal and has found himself in the subsequent fixtures against Burnley, Burton and Tottenham, with James Milner filling in.
Klopp will know Fuchs well from their shared time in the Bundesliga and may feel that he could persuade the experienced wide-man to switch the King Power Stadium for Anfield.
Though it’s true Fuchs has Champions League football to look foward to he may feel that his long-term career goals would be better served by a move to the Merseyside giants.
