Liverpool set to make shock move for Man City keeper Joe HartPublished August 26, 2016
It looks like Man City keeper Joe Hart, is set for a Merseyside move after all, but it’s not the club we were expecting.
The England international’s time in Eastlands seems to have come to an end, after new boss Pep Guardiola made it clear that he does not see the 29-year-old as part of his plans moving forward.
A transfer has looked on the cards throughout the summer, with Everton strongly linked with a move for the keeper before the end of the transfer window on August 31.
But in the last few days, Everton boss Ronald Koeman, has played down interest in the player, whilst their Mersyside rivals Liverpool have emerged as sudden favourites to sign Hart.
According to The Sun, Hart, is well aware of Liverpool’s interest and is willing to take a wage cut in order to gain a move to Anfield.
Whilst Liverpool are well stocked in the goalkeeper department, which includes Simon Mignolet and new summer signing Loris Karius, it’s believed that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is interesting in sanctioning a move for the England keeper.
It’s set to be a frantic last week of the summer transfer window.
