Liverpool set to complete loan move of Borussia Dortmund starlet, talks underwayPublished August 30, 2016
Liverpool are looking to make one more splash in the transfer market this summer, but surprisingly it’s not in the area that most people were expecting.
The Merseyside club are in somewhat of a defensive mess at the moment, and whilst there have been calls from many fans at Anfield for the club to spend big at strengthening at the back this summer, it’s further up the pitch where they have invested.
The big money signings of Sadio Mane and Georginio Wijnaldum have dwarfed the amounts spent at the back, where the club have signed the likes of Joel Matip, and Estonian Ragnar Klavan.
But if you thought that Jurgen Klopp was looking to address the one area which needs strengthening the most, then guess again.
Reports coming out Germany claim that the Reds are very keen on signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulsic.
The American international has caught the eye of many in Europe, with Liverpool believed to be at the front of the queue.
According to Kicker, the Bundesliga side have rejected a £12m bid from Liverpool, but could be keen to sell if the Anfield club up their offer.
But, according to ESPN sources the German side are still opening to the possibility of Pulsic, 17, joining Liverpool on loan for the season.
We will have to wait and see how this transfer story unravels between now and Wednesday’s transfer deadline.
