Liverpool plan to sell Daniel Sturridge to fund shock move for James RodriguezPublished August 25, 2016
Liverpool fans, hold on to your hats, as the last week of the summer transfer window may get very interesting.
The Merseyside Club, have been somewhat busy during the current window, but if reports coming out of social media are anything to go by, things are about to get a lot more interesting.
Reports claim that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is looking to cash in on unsettled striker Daniel Sturridge, in order to raise funds in attempt to make a shock bid for Real Madrid star James Rodriguez.
Sturridge, has had an inconsistent time of things in the last two years at Anfield, with constant injury struggles preventing the 26-year-old from making a real impact.
The England international was deployed on the flank, during Liverpool’s recent 2-0 defeat to Burnley, and in the aftermath of the defeat, Sturridge, was quick to criticise Jurgen Klopp.
It’s understood that Klopp, is losing patience with his striker and is keen to sell, in a bid to land Real Madrid’s James Rodriguez, who has become unsettled with life in the Spanish capital.
The Colombian midfielder is keen to find first team football, and with Premier League clubs circling, it’s believed that a fee in the region of £60m would be enough for Madrid to part with the player.
But after these recent reports, the Real Madrid superstar could be heading to Anfield.
