Liverpool launch shock bid for Europe's most wanted
Liverpool have seen a €75million bid for Monaco wonderkid Kylian Mbappe rejected, according to reports in Spain.
Marca suggest the Reds are joining the race to sign the 18-year-old, who is probably the most in-demand player in Europe right now.
Mbappe has scored 21 goals in Ligue 1 and the Champions League this season, helping Monaco to the Ligue 1 title and the semi finals of Europe’s premier club competition.
The club from the Principality are understandably keen to keep him, putting a £110million price tag on his head.
Vice-president Vadim Vasilyev has recently stated they will sit down and discuss his future in the summer, with the club claiming only a couple of clubs can afford him, but it is reported Mbappe wants to leave.
Whether Liverpool will return with another bid remains to be seen, but they must beat Middlesbrough on Sunday in the final Premier League game of the season to clinch a Champions League place.
