Liverpool boss makes bold claim about summer signings
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has issued a warning to the Liverpool board through the media.
He made it clear that he expects to have money to spend on his squad come the summer, and that the board should back him if they want to be on the same page as him in terms of moving the club forward.
That’s after a very quiet January transfer window, with many people wondering just why the Reds failed to buy more players – especially the defenders they needed at the back.
Klopp said: “I will have the money, that’s for sure. The board and I have the same plan.”
There could well also be some departures at the club, with Daniel Sturridge looking on his way out, and doubts over the future of Simon Mignolet, after rumours emerged Klopp could buy another keeper this summer.
Liverpool fans want at least four top signings, and after looking at how the squad have struggled this season following the turn of the year, you’d have to agree with that school of thought.
