The Belgian forward came under a fair bit of criticism last term but statistically speaking the former Aston Villa man delivered the goods.
The 25-year-old started just 15 Premier League games but still bagged nine goals, indeed only Roberto Firmino racked up more in 2015/16. However it does appear that Jurgen Klopp is ready to offload the big striker and Crystal Palace are set to offer a whopping £31.5m for his services.
This figure is below the £32.5m Liverpool paid last July but the Anfield side may feel the time is right to make the sale, this would leave Klopp with a large sum to re-invest relatively early in the summer transfer window.
Benteke has proven himself in the English top tier, both at Villa and Liverpool, and a fresh start at Crystal Palace may tempt the Belgian international, not least as it would offer him a firm regular starting berth.
