Ligue 1 striker admits it is time to move on this summer
Reported Arsenal and Liverpool target Alexandre Lacazette has admitted that he will seek to leave Lyon this summer, per Sky.
The Frenchman, 25, is statistically one of Europe’s most feared marksmen, netting 35 goals in all competitions while inspiring his side to the semi finals of the Europa League.
A move to the Premier League has been mooted for a long time but has not yet materialised. The report suggests Atletico Madrid could be the front runners for his signature.
Lacazette believes that, while he has something of a reputation, he needs to leave to enhance it, with Didier Deschamps often leaving him out of the France squad, although he has made it in for the upcoming summer fixtures.
“I think that’s [the summer] the right moment [to leave],” he said. “I want to discover something else, to put myself in danger and to get to the next level.
“People say in passing that I score goals, but I know very well that on the European level I am not very well known.
“I want to see if I can answer the questions that people are asking, and to make further progress.”
