John Terry makes incredible claim about Jose Mourinho
John Terry has been speaking about life under Jose Mourinho, who of course managed Chelsea for two spells during Terry’s time there.
Mourinho is of course now at Manchester United, and has been dealing with a few injuries – and players who are in his eyes, not trying hard enough or fit enough to play.
Terry said: “He would walk straight past you on the treatment table.
“But you’re sitting there as captain of the football club, you come in kind of looking for the high five from the gaffer.
“You don’t get it, he blanks you and he says to the physio, while you’re there so he knows what he’s doing, ‘How long?’
“And the physio would say, ‘couple of days’ and he’d just walk out.”
Of course that makes you wonder how players with fragile egos are coping – and how players like Luke Shaw cope with constantly being deemed not fit or ready to contribute to the team.
United are seemingly stuck in sixth place, and drew with Hull last night – meaning they lost ground on Manchester City, and also the chance to close the gap on the top of the table, with their rivals all dropping points in the midweek round of fixtures.
