Huge call: Marcus Rashford set to start for Manchester United in the Manchester derbyPublished September 8, 2016
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly ready to unleash Marcus Rashford in this weekend’s Manchester derby .
The 18-year-old sensation, has a had a month to remember, following up a last gasp winner against Hull, during United’s last Premier League outing, with a stunning midweek hat-trick on his debut for the England Under 21s.
It’s now believed, that Mourinho has seen enough from his striker to consider starting him against City at the weekend.
The 18-year-old also scored the only goal when the Manchester giants last met in March, and Mourinho is said to be leaning towards including him in his starting line-up for the lunchtime showdown at Old Trafford.
If Rashford does get the nod, it will be interesting to see at whose expense.
There have been some calls for skipper Wayne Rooney to be dropped despite his impressive start to the season, whilst French youngster Anthony Martial may be the likely option, should Mourinho decide to go with his teenage prodigy.
We can’t wait for derby day!
