It looks like Manchester City may have finally got some good news ahead of this weekend’s hotly anticipated Manchester derby.

Pep Guardiola’s side are preparing for Saturday’s lunch time clash without star man Sergio Aguero, who will miss the the encounter through suspension, after the FA charged the Argentine striker with violent conduct, after an unnoticed elbow on West Ham defender Winston Reid last week.

But it seems as though City’s rivals, United, have also recieved bad news of their own heading into derby day.

Armenian playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan has experienced a hugely frustrating international break and this looks likely to affect Jose Mourinho’s plans for the Manchester derby on Saturday.

Mkhitaryan picked up an injury in Armenia’s loss to Czech Republic in a friendly last Wednesday and subsequently missed the World Cup qualifier versus Denmark on Sunday evening.

After missing the Denmark game, there are serious concerns about Mkhitaryan’s ability to be fit for match against City, and the winger has recently taken to Instagram to shed light on his current situation, posting a message which suggests that being fit for the derby is out of his reach.
