Diego Costa, will he ever learn?

Football fans have taken to social media in the aftermath of the Chelsea striker’s horror tackle on West Ham goalkeeper Adrian, during the Blues’ controversial 2-1 victory, in the first London derby of the Premier League season on Monday night.

The incident occurred midway through the second half, when Costa who had already been booked for dissent, caught the Hammers stopper with a reckless studs-up challenge when seemingly attempting to challenge for a loose ball.

Despite the West Ham protests, Anthony Taylor didn’t deem the incident as a second bookable offence, and the fiery Blues frontman then made the most of his let-off when he drove in a last-minute winner, to spark crazy celebrations in the home end at Stamford Bridge, as the West Ham fans protested in outrage at how the Spaniard was still allowed to be on the pitch.

In the aftermath of the incident, football fans have taken to Twitter to express their feelings on Costa’s behaviour.

It seems that many believe that the striker should have been sent a straight red card.

West Ham can count themselves unfortunate.
